sorry i haven't posted anything in awhile.....everytime i start school....i have no time during the quarter to paint or draw...or do anything that i really enjoy for that matter.....it's like college sucks the life from me ....literally...and not to mention that the blood suckers do a number on my wallet to...sons of bitches....but what can i do? not a god damned thing...tt's what...but anywho...the quater is over in 2 weeks!! thank fuckin god.... dude...i am so mentally drained....so i will have time to paint again!

i feel i have grown as an artist. i feel proud of my work. some of them not as good as others...but that's how you learn.....i am a new artist...before i started deviant art i thought i couldn't draw anything... and now i have proved myself wrong...i've always wanted to be a painter but never had any encouragement...everyone always tells me i will never make money being an artist....this may be true...but that's not what it is about for me ...i do it becuase it feels good.... to create something ....to express myself in a way words can not.... i am happy with that not being my source of income...but i will still paint...and if it does make me a couple extra bucks then that's a plus....i have learned to work with different mediums to express my feelings. water colors are my favorite. at first you want to control the paint. that is impossible...water colors go where they want...and they don't do what you want them to...so you have to learn to let the paint go where it wants and work with it. let them flow and be free.
Some people say abstract art is not really art. I disagree. art can't be defined so rigidly. art is about being open minded, and expressing your emotions. Art is something that you create. whether if it's a drawing of a flower or some paint splattered on canvas...it is art ...there is emotion behind it and thought. sometimes there are no symbols or words to convey your feelings. your mind is abstract . being an artist should not be defined by only a few people's opinions. people shouldn't be so judgemental and closed minded...that is not what art is about.... everyone expresses themselves differently...and i can see the beauty in all art not just certain kinds....
